Introduction
This advanced CPD course is designed for practitioners who already have foundation dermal filler experience and want to develop their understanding of more advanced treatment planning and injection techniques. Training focuses on facial assessment, product selection, anatomy, advanced placement and managing treatment safely and professionally.
You will build on existing dermal filler knowledge through advanced theory, treatment planning, demonstration and practical learning. The course focuses on understanding why a treatment is selected, rather than simply following a set injection pattern.

Course Content
- ✓ Advanced Facial Assessment — Training explores facial proportions, symmetry, ageing changes, tissue characteristics and the relationship between different facial areas. You will learn how to assess the face as a whole and identify where treatment may improve balance while keeping results proportionate and natural-looking.
- ✓ Anatomy & Injection Safety — You will revise clinically relevant facial anatomy, including tissue planes and important vascular structures. The course reinforces safe injection principles, appropriate depth, needle and cannula considerations and the importance of adapting technique to individual anatomy.
- ✓ Product Selection & Treatment Planning — You will consider product characteristics, rheology, placement and the intended treatment outcome when planning advanced filler treatments. Consultation, treatment sequencing and realistic expectations are included.
- ✓ Advanced Treatment Techniques — Depending on the course treatment focus, training may include advanced approaches to facial contouring, cheeks, chin, jawline, lips and other commonly treated areas. Demonstration and practical work are centred on controlled technique, accurate placement and patient assessment.
- ✓ Consultation, Consent & Documentation — You will develop a structured consultation process covering medical history, previous aesthetic treatments, expectations, contraindications, consent, photography and treatment records.
- ✓ Practical Training — Training includes live demonstration and practical application where included in the course format. Supervised practice allows you to refine assessment, marking, injection technique and treatment planning.
- ✓ Complications & Emergency Awareness — The course covers common adverse reactions and introduces the recognition and appropriate management pathway for more serious complications. This includes the importance of prompt assessment, escalation, documentation and working within professional scope.
- ✓ Aftercare & Results Management — You will learn how to explain expected post-treatment responses, provide clear aftercare, arrange appropriate review and manage client expectations around swelling, settling and treatment outcomes.

Requirements
All CPD courses involving needles require either a Level 3 Beauty qualification or above, or a minimum of 6 months’ previous needling experience. Please check the individual course requirements before booking.
