- ✓ Hair Growth Cycle – Understand the stages of the hair growth cycle and why laser hair removal generally requires a course of treatments.
- ✓ Skin & Hair Assessment – Learn how skin type, hair colour, thickness, density and growth pattern influence treatment response, including Fitzpatrick skin typing.
- ✓ Consultation & Treatment Planning – Learn how to take an appropriate medical history, establish treatment goals and identify contraindications.
- ✓ Patch Testing – Learn the principles of appropriate patch testing and documenting the result before proceeding with treatment.
- ✓ Laser Parameters & Treatment Settings – Understand the factors influencing treatment parameters and why settings need to be adapted to skin type and hair characteristics.
- ✓ Practical Laser Hair Removal – Apply the theory in a supervised practical environment, working through consultation, assessment, patch test and treatment.
